On Cloud Flyer

On Cloud Flyer running footwear

I have been hugely impressed with the On Cloud Flyer shoe, which is meant for tarmac running. See my review. They cost £140. To buy see: On Cloudflyer.

Harrier Ultra bundle

Harrier Ultra bundle

I tested the Harrier Ultra 10l bundle, which is packed with all the essentials for ultra running as well as some nice extras. I really like the products and if you are looking for a belt-and-braces Christmas gift for a runner, this is ideal. There are plenty of items to buy separately, too.

Various prices, see Harrier Run Free.

OMM  Kamleika Jacket

My number one recommendation for a running jacket that offers great waterproofing and breathability, as well as freedom of movement. The jacket weighs just 255g and is sold in male and female fit.

RRP £190.00. Sold by theomm.com and also retailers such as Wiggle at £162. See male race jacket. Also at £180 the male OMM Kamleika Jacket and female OMM Kamleika Jacket.

Dynafit ULTRA 100 trail shoes

Dynafit ULTRA 100 trail shoes

My current favourite trail running shoes are the Dynafit Ultra 100s, which offer great cushioning, a comfort fit and good grip underfoot for runners who enjoy the tarmac or trails. Male and female fit.

£130 at www.dynafit.com and see Amazon.

inov-8 Mudclaw G 260 shoes

For winter hills and lots of mud, the inov-8 Mudclaw G 260 is a great buy. The shoe features 8mm studs infused with graphene, which is claimed as the world’s strongest material.

£140 at inov-8 Mudclaw G 260.

Flanci skorts and running tights

If there is one product that I have loved more than any other in 2020, it’s my Flanci skorts. I have a growing collection thanks to the kind people at this British company. They are now selling new and fancy running tights as well as fleece-lined tights. There are products for men and women. You can take advantage of a 10% discount. Use the code FIONA10.

Range of prices, see Flanci.

inov-8 Extreme Thermo mitt

inov-8 Extreme Thermo mitt

Lightweight and highly breathable, the running mitts can be worn alone or over the top of regular gloves. They feature Polartec Alpha insulation that regulates warmth and transfers moisture.

£35. Buy: www.inov-8.com

Petzl IKO Core headtorch

Petzl IKO Core headtorch

I have tested the Petzl Swift RL head torch and while I like a lot about this headtorch, I think the Petzl IKO Core is probably easier to use. The Swift RL has a brighter beam potential at 900 lumens but I am not so keen on the reactive light beam function. The IKO core is easier to use and still has a beam of 500 lumens.

The Petzl IKO Core is £76.99. See Petzl and also buy from www.ellis-brigham.com.

The Petzl Swift RL is £96.99 at Ellis Brigham.

1000 mile socks

1000 mile socks

I love these socks. The padded toes and heel are really comfy. If it’s a wee stocking filler for a runner, then these are great.

£12.99, 1000 Mile
