Sometimes, when travelling, we feel as though we never want the adventure to end. This is especially true if you have fallen in love with a specific country, culture or lifestyle and could see yourself being particularly happy there in the long run.

Fortunately, there are various in which you can ensure the adventure never has to end. For example, this could mean that you immediately begin to plan your next trip before you have even so much as opened your suitcase to unpack. Alternatively, it could mean that you begin to consider immigrating and making this place your new home.

You may also want to consider looking for an international removal
company
to help with your move.

With that in mind, here are four reasons why you should consider moving to the UK permanently (and how you can make that happen).

York is a beautiful and historic city in England.
  1. Plenty of job opportunities. No matter what industry you wish to work in, there are plenty of employment opportunities available to those in the UK, whether you live in a busy city or quiet town. This means that you could finally find yourself on your way to obtaining your dream career.
  1. Natural Beauty. While city getaways in the UK are always exciting, it is also home to places of true natural beauty – meaning that it could be the perfect destination for those who love hiking and adventure. Alternatively, if you choose to live in a city, you’re never really too far away from the great outdoors, meaning that a quick escape from bustling city life is always possible.
  1. Good Education & Healthcare. The UK is also known for high-quality healthcare and education, meaning that it could be the perfect destination for those who are looking to raise a family in their new home.
  1. Interesting culture. The UK has a vast history and interesting culture, which you cannot help but immerse yourself in, whether that means you spend time exploring old castles and landmarks or check out the local music scene in your chosen town.  There is truly something for everyone to enjoy.
Stirling is a great central location in Scotland.
Cornwall is a popular location for holidaymakers in England.

How can I move to the UK?

  • Begin by working with an immigration lawyer and obtaining the appropriate Visa. For example, if you have already spent a little time in the UK, you may be eligible for indefinite leave to remain, which allows you to remain there indefinitely and even sets you up for residency in the future.
  • Think carefully about which area of the UK you wish to move to and try to be as specific as possible. For example, instead of deciding to move to “Scotland”, choose a particular region or even a town ahead of time because this will make the process of seeking employment and finding a house much easier.
  • Focus on building up your finances (and savings account) ahead of time, so that you can provide yourself with greater financial security during the move. Furthermore, the stronger your finances, the easier it may be to obtain a Visa. The earlier you start saving the better, especially if you are waiting until you move to find a job.
  •  Though you may be tempted to move sooner rather than later, remember that the immigration process can be time-consuming. It is important that you take your time and do not rush the process.
