1. Are LED Flood Lights Worth It?

When considering the value of investing, consider the benefits they offer. First of all, they are a cheap alternative to halogens. Despite a sizeable initial investment, LED floodlights to consume up to 80% less energy than their halogen counterparts, reducing your energy costs in the long run.

Second, the lamp life is longer than that of halogen lamps, eliminating the need for frequent replacement.

Halogen bulbs can feel too hot, but LED lights come with metal heat sinks that dissipate heat instantly to maintain a lower operating temperature. It also helps to extend the life of LED chips inside.

Whether you’re lighting a garden, an outdoors event or garage, LED flood lights offer a wider beam angle, providing better and more efficient coverage.

2. How bright are the LED Flood lights?

It has already been mentioned that LED lights consume fewer watts than their halogen counterparts, which means they consume much less power. However, this does not limit the brightness in any way.

You can expect a better brightness level from LED flood lights than halogen. Since LED bulbs have a higher lumen rating, their brightness is never affected.

3. Can you dim an LED Flood Light?

Not all LED lamps and flood lights are dimmable. If you need a dimmable flood light, please make sure to check the product specifications when purchasing.

4. Selection parameters of the LED Flood Lights

If you’re already sure you’re going to buy this product, you have to know about a few things first.

Check the brightness first. LED lamps already have a higher number of lumens, which determines their brightness. However, don’t forget to check the lumens when you buy them, as this would help you choose the brightness level.

There are some automated features that you may want to check. An additional option for safety and efficiency is a distance sensor, automatic time mode, or daylight sensor. A distance sensor tells the flood light to turn on automatically when motion is detected at a distance from the light.

Some LED food lights also have a time mode, which sets the usage time. Explore the colour and design options to find the one that best suits your needs.

Flood lights have come a long way in recent years with LED technology. Today, they are an excellent choice, whether for residential or commercial use.
