My thoughts: Avoalre Running Socks

If you are looking for lightweight running socks with heel and under forefoot cushioning and on a budget, these socks are worth considering.

I have worn the socks repeatedly for trail running and they appear durable enough. They are easy to wear because they fit neatly and they are lightweight. The fabric is comfortable and causes no irritations or rubs on my feet.

In summer, I don’t like too much fabric or cushioning because I end up with overly warm feet. I have been wearing the Avoalre Running Socks on hotter days.

I would recommend you buy a size bigger than indicated. I am a UK8.5 and the large size are just long enough. I’d have been better with XL size.

I am not a fan of the term “moisture wicking”. The fabric is Coolmax and does allow sweat to escape but the idea that a fabric wicks moisture from the skin is mis-leading. Feet do sweat and it is good that the lightweight Coolmax fabric allows the moisture to evaporate. If you prefer a more natural fabric, such as Merino wool, these socks are not for you.

Three pairs for £9.99 seems is a very reasonable price to pay for a no-fuss running sock.
