A company called Sarrosi has launched a new Anti-Chafe Balm: Sport Edition. It’s purpose is to create a breathable, no-friction barrier from moisture to reduce the risk of chafing. For sporty people, it could be useful to combat rubs such as from sports bra, tops or shorts when walking or running and especially when hot and sweaty. I have been sent the product to test.
Sarrosi was founded by Doncaster-born business partners, Sarah McDonnell and Rosie Brodhurst-Hooper.
A glance at the ingredients of the Anti-Chafe Balm: Sport Edition reveals shea butter, citrus oil, seed oil and caster oil at the top of the list. The product also includes Vitamin E, plus is’s vegan, organic and cruelty free.
The scent is orangey and zesty. The smell reminds me of childhood sweets, or similar. I can’t say exactly what but it’s a lovely scent.
The product is a roll-on balm in a 80g recyclable applicator. This means you don’t need to touch the balm to apply it. Just open the top, roll on and go.
I have used the the balm in areas where I sometimes suffer rubs, such as around my underarms due to my sports bra. I also tried it on my feet inside ski touring boots, where I always end up with rubs.
The balm went on well, didn’t feel too greasy application and seemed to do a good job of protecting my skin. I haven’t been able to test in summer conditions as yet. I like that the porduct is vegan, organic and cruelty free.
It is available exclusively to buy on Amazon at £18.99. It’s not cheap but it is a fairly large 80g product so it should last a while. I noticed that I didn’t use too much on each application.
