My occasional guest kit review, Crystal G, has been testing the CamelBak Straw Tumbler. She writes: “This has been a very pleasant addition to my life, helping me stay hydrated throughout the day.” Here are more pros ands cons ofd the CamelBak Straw Tumbler.

30 oz (.85l) Straw Tumbler features

  • Spill resistant, splash proof rubberised straw seal lid
  • Non-slip silicone base
  • 18/8 stainless steel
  • Powder coat finish and dishwasher safe
  • BPA, BPS, and BPF free
  • The Horizon 900ml (30oz) Straw Tumbler keeps drinks cold for 16 hours and hot for 8 hours.
  • Fits most cupholders
  • Cost: £35 at camelbak.co.uk (Also available on Amazon in different colours and sizes. I receive a small commission for sales through Amazon.)

Why Consider the Camelbak horizon straw tumbler?

I love the fact that this has a lid and straw. It makes it easy to drink out of, add ice to, drink without spilling all over, etc. The size is nice, it holds a lot of water, but because of the shape (the bottom is slightly smaller than the top), it is easy to carry it in my hand.

The lid makes my drinks a lot safer, guarding against most spills. As a mother of three children, this is definitely a benefit.

It’s also dishwasher safe. It is great to be able to be able to save time and not have to wash this by hand.

Not everyone cares about colour, but I do. I appreciate that there are colorful options to choose from.

This cup has been very durable. I have used it day after day after day (except when one of my daughters took it over for a few days and then I had to force her to give it back). It is still holding up wonderfully after months of almost daily use.

Thoughts before buying the 30oz tumbler

Consider what size you want. I use the 900ml tumbler at home. I do not take it on the road with me. If you are looking for something to throw in a bag or take with, you make want something smaller and a top that doesn’t have a straw but a travel lid.

What about other brands? We regular use YETI, Camelbak and Hydroflask. Each of them are good brands. They all have their strengths.

In Camelbak’s favour, it has a lifetime warranty. I have never had to use it with any of our Camelbak products, but it is there. Besides that, a lot comes down to preference. Does one brand have the style, color, size, etc. that you are looking for?

I would not hesitate to recommend any of these brands, and Camelbak has been a good choice for us.

Conclusion: CamelBak offers some great products to make life easier and more enjoyable. The tumbler has been a wonderful addition to my regularly used drinking receptacles.

I love the fact that it holds my drinks at the temperature that I want them for hours. And fewer spills make everyone happier. I would highly recommend this tumbler to anyone.
