The North Face describe the women’s Athletic Outdoor Full Zip Midlayer Jacket as “super warm midlayer jacket made from a soft, warm and breathable polyester fabric”.

Features include:

  • Fabrics: 83% Polyester, 17% Elastane knit
  • Fit: Regular
  • Freedom of movement
  • Thumbholes at cuffs
  • Two zippered hand pockets
  • Full-length zip
  • RRP £90, now £63
  • From The North Face. Can buy from Cotswold.

My thoughts: The North Face Women’s Athletic Outdoor Jacket

The jacket fits nicely although I always have to size up with TNF products. I am a UK 10 and I have the size medium. The arm and torso lengths are good. The shoulders only just fit, even in a medium size.

I am not a fan of the light lilac, mainly because it’s impractical. The jacket get dirty easily.

There are two zipped hand pockets and features include stretchy side panels and thumb loops.

The fabric is, frankly, unremarkable. It is fine but nothing special. There is no soft fleece inner or remarkable outer fabric. It’s just a simple layer.

I cant say I have found it “super warm” but, then again, it has not left me feeling chilly either.

I would not pay £90 for this jacket as it doesn’t have enough features and benefits to make me want to pay so much. I see it is priced at around £60 elsewhere, but even that feels expensive.

I don’t often receive products that I have so little to write about but this is one of them. Sorry, TNF, but this is not a fantastic jacket.
