My guest reviewer Seth G has been testing a pair of Rudy Project Tralyx+ sunglasses. He writes: Rudy Project makes great sunglasses. I have been wearing their brand for years and I have not been disappointed. Whether out on the town, biking, or running through the mountains, Rudy Project offers well made eye wear.

To get straight to the point, these are fantastic sunglasses and I highly recommend them.

Pros: What’s good about the TraLYX+?

Fit: Excellent fit that stays on your face with all the bouncing around from trail running.

Adjustable: With the sweat, the elements, the different headgear, etc. your fit changes. These sunglasses help you to make the adjustments easy.

Airflow: Great ventilation to keep your face from getting really sweaty around your eyes. Rudy Project calls this their “Power Flow.” Basically they put the vents “on the temple tips, on the front chassis and on the lens to enhance air circulation while ensuring maximum aerodynamic efficiency and without disturbing vision.” What that means for the fit and vision is that the vents don’t cut into what you can see, but still allow the air to keep the air circulating.

Versatile: Whether you are out on your bike, running, hitting the trails, or on the water, these will serve you well.

Options: You have the ability to swap out lenses or add in your prescription lenses.

Who shouldn’t buy the TralyX+?

I don’t have a problem recommending these glasses to anyone. They obviously are at a higher price point that your standard supermarket sunglasses in the checkout lane, however they are meant to last as well as perform.

If you are prone to sit on your sunglasses, leave them behind on restaurant tables, or just don’t take care of your stuff…you probably shouldn’t buy these. But that is a “user error,” not on the glasses.

Conclusion

These are my top pair of sunglasses. They are the ones I reach for when we are hiking, running, on the water, or on a spontaneous adventure. Highly recommended.
