OS choose me as a #GetOutside champion

Ordnance Survey (OS) launched a campaign to find 12 #GetOutside champions in the UK. And I have been chosen as one of them! It seems I impressed OS with my work and passion for the great outdoors. I simply told OS what I do to get outside and how I inspire others to get active outdoors. They liked what I wrote.

The aim of OS GetOutside is to motivate more people to get off the sofa or ditch the car and to enjoy the more time outdoors. The goal is to re-connect people with our fabulous landscape and great outdoors playground. These are exactly the sort of things I write about.

I’ve won a few prizes, which is nice, and I will be working with famous ambassadors, including adventurers Steve Backshall, Bonita Norris and Sean Conway, to offer help, advice and inspiration for those of us who want to get outside.

The OS GetOutside website will be filling up with ideas of ways to enjoy the great outdoors in 2016.

It’s great to have my work and enthusiasm recognised. So thank you Ordnance Survey!
