There are numerous different types and styles of Oakley sunglasses so it’s down to personal choice about the look you choose and also where you plan to use them.

The Oakley Sunglasses Canteen 9225-06 glasses are fitted with High Definition Ruby Iridium polarised lenses. These are great for very bright conditions and during a recent sunny Munros walk, the G-Force found them to be super effective.

He said: “They kept the sun’s glare out and I found I could see with good clarity. They offer a good contrast of colours, too. Having worn lots of different types of sunglasses over the years I prefer a lens that keeps out high levels of sun it stops me screwing up my eyes – and helps with seeing the landscape more clearly.”

The frames are a “Ferrari” matt black with a red tip to the arms. Again the G-Force had praise. He said: The frames feel very lightweight when on. This makes them really comfortable. But they are not flimsy and the hinges feel quite robust. They are the usual good quality of Oakley glasses.”

The sunglasses are priced at £180 (RRP) but you can buy them for £135 at Discounted Sunglasses. They come with a hard case and a soft bag.
