Glasgow Sub-run anti-clockwise

Glasgow Sub-run

This is a run with friends from Glasgow Triathlon Club to each of the 15 stations of Glasgow’s Subway. It is nicknamed the Sub-run. It’s arounds 10.5 miles on pavement and tarmac.

A couple of years ago, I ran the route clockwise and this time I ran the route anti-clockwise. I think the latter is better because you run through the Clyde Tunnel earlier on – and there is a long hill to ascend from the lowest point in the tunnel.

What is the Glasgow Subway?

The Glasgow Subway – also known as the Clockwork Orange – provides an underground transport system. It was opened on December 14, 1896, and is the third oldest underground metro system in the world, after the London Underground and the Budapest Metro. It runs clockwise on the Outer Circle and anti-clockwise on the Inner Circle.
